Zimmerman & Zimmerman was selected by DFID to provide the Development Tracker with a dynamic data-engine, serving the Development Tracker with a modern mechanism to ingest and serve IATI data published by DFID and its partners. The former architecture of the Development Tracker was based on a set of generated static HTML files. Realising they needed more up to date refresh intervals of IATI data published by both DFID and its partners, DFID selected us to handle this process.
Based on the OIPA IATI data-engine, The Development Tracker is now able to serve fresh data to its users. As part of the work for DFID, Zimmerman & Zimmerman has extended and optimised the OIPA codebase. This has led to the extension of more data-aggregation features and an even more sustainable API model.
