ASPO Netherlands was founded back in 2005. The main objective of the foundation is to research Peakoil and the global depletion of fossil fuels as a result of this. It is currently a much discussed phenomenon and The foundation is part of the international network ‘The Association for the Study of Peak Oil and Gas’.
Using independent research they will evaluate the developments in the global production of fossil fuels such as oil, gas and coals. Furthermore they are trying to map the effects of increasing shortfalls in fossil fuels in society. How will the rise in energy prices affect our economy? What influence will the shortage of fossil fuels have on our climate? What are the alternatives? What can Governments do to prevent this? What can we as civic society do?
Along with the development of the ASPO online oil scan, we have also been asked to design a new identity for their current website. Together with their management, who are responsible for the site’s content, we are now actively working on developing the site.
Expected release date of redesign will be in October 2011.
